Benelux Brink hands-on Preview

The Benelux gaming site Power Unlimited have made a Brink hands-on Preview which might come in handy for our dutch and Belgian readers. Obviously BRINKish asked his mate Google to translate it for him but the outcome didn’t seem to be one of Googles best work. Hopsa, for the umpteenth time this year I was kicked to London. But this time really marshmallow at the end of the afternoon by plane, once arrived effe trailers looked half hours in a particular fancy hotel room and then to chat with the game director of Splash Damage, Richard Jolly, and its CEO, Paul Wedgwood, a ideal preparation for the next day when we had the chance to shoot the same significantly irons to rattle in Brink. A game which I still knew all of NADA, despite the fact that I am CEO Paul explicitly asked for my opinion about Borderlands, subsequently seen as a sign could be considered.

The Ark, in the air or water

The key is that the Ark is completely sealed from the rest of the world and that two factions, Security and Resistance, on the edge (on the Brink) of war with each other. A marginal player when you go over naturally THICK!

Both factions each offer a different perspective on the story in single player, which means that Splash Damage for the first time in their career focus heavily on a thick man experience. I’m talking about a campaign complete with cinematics, professional voice acting and characters that shit experience, tested, and grow as a better man in the coming adventure. You know, like a good story is supposed to go.

This course is partly wishful thinking, but the fact remains that there is invested in the single player. Also saw the scenes I’ve seen good and perhaps more importantly, they sounded good.

Brink is far from only a single title, though all online modes are hung to the missions you play in the campaign. Would you like that shit with your buddies but co-op or online play against / with strangers, then the switch seamlessly between modes so as to close a roasted buttocks.
You take your character too happy, his level, XP and tricks them and that is perfect for customizing Brink goes pretty far in an FPS. The more XP you earn, the more shit like modifications to your weapons, outfits and perks you can earn. You (not existing, but no laser or plasma) include up to fucken guns with scopes, silencers, and extra large clips that kind of Weird Stuff. Customizing your outfits is primarily for other players to show how bad-ass you are, so you’re online by doing missions particularly striking rewarded with helmets, shorts and armor pieces. That shit is about status and to distinguish yourself from the rest, not for stats, skills or buffs. For the latter you’re in a separate perks-like system, which you for each class you can play (think medic, engineer, etc.) can unlock those special advantages, not entirely surprisingly, much like the idea of Modern Warfare.

These classes are also not in gemieterd Jack Shit, because since the completion of a mission is often a matter of smaller missions run, you will often the skills of an engineer or a saboteur need. The clearing of a mission in Brink is never as simple as “bang down those other fools,” one of the reasons why the game sometimes can go roel as a kook.

XP ole ole ole
I played a mission as well as a Security dude one of the Resistance, in a folder that looked like a slum with a combined storage container.
Security If you fall within this crappy residential area, accompanied by a SWAT-type robot to prevent the Resistance-fat frankfurters a cherry rocket launch. If Resistance (I will say this only once!) You like the police-security brand frankfurters as long to stop the rocket you’ve popped in the air.

This not only two completely different missions, including the sub-commands, which you can earn extra XP and your goal faster and / or facilitate totally different.

As a Security-saboteur you inflate to such a wall the way to reduce the rocket engineer and as Resistance, you turrets in tactical places to place your opponent some slowing in the ass to shoot bullets.
The commands allow you to not only the satisfactory feeling of XP that drops into the household, they also provide some variation in the single player and a lot of multiplayer tactical opportunities, creating a folder on countless little “skirmishes” can occur.

Course maps and balance in classes this damn important, but fortunately Splash Damage in online knallerij more experience than Jenna Jameson in spreading her shapely legs.

Smart is not stupid
Well XP is the fact of money with tactical, versatile shooter missions for both online and offline so your arms and classes to upgrade and your man to costumizen, already quite promising. Splash Damage is planning the ultimate single player / multiplayer RPG / FPS to make and I hope they do not have all misjudged developer powerrr that make a title needed …

+ Versatile missions.
+ Offline co-op, online, underline and above line, you name it, Brink has.
+ Lekker earn XP and then customize like crazy.
